This is the best and easiest jazz book to use for any size group - great for the basics and improvs! I've used it in more than one group I have played with (trumpet).

It's got a good smattering from New Orleans through bop, though like any fakebook you don't expect any super detailed on the melodies, it has the changes for plenty of standards.

This book has some great tunes in it. There are old classic tunes dating back as far as the 1920's and newer songs from the 60's and 70's. I have three other fake books, and there are many tunes in this book that are not in the others. I would recommend it as part of your music library. It is well bound and easy to read.

This is a book of music that all jazz musicians should vhave in their library. I have had the "C" edition for several years but just recently started to play my trumpet again after a thirty -three {33} layoff so, it became a necessity to have the "B flat" edition. It also works for the tenor man in the quintet. I can recommend this book to anyone serious about playing jazz.
