If you are an experienced Project Manager with extensive IT service management expertise, this book is a great resource that will ensure you are well prepared for the cert exam. As a new entrant to this ever expanding field, you should first read this book to establish a strong foundation and then make use of other online guides and links to access further reources to enahnace your knowledge. Subsequently take some quizzes, sample tests to familiarise yourself with the test format and question style. Armed with a well-rounded groundwork, passing the Foundation test the first time is a very realistic prospect. Either case, this book is an extremely helpful and handy tool for your journey. I'll preface this with the fact that I was already an ITIL V2 Practitioner, but I read through the book and sat the exam just a week or so later. I passed with 90%. The study areas are short but give you the necessary information to pass the V3 Foundation. The mock questions are pretty close to the questions in the real exam - if you can pass the 80 mock questions in this book, you will pass the real exam. Good luck.

This book is a good resource if you have taken a course. But I would not recommend using this book alone as the only resource to pass the exam.
